Prlja was involved with setting the overall artistic and strategic vision, initiating the overall program, commissioning the contributors, selecting galleries and artists, overseeing all aspects of the artistic production of individual components of the Art Fair (including the layout of the space, setting production schedules, coordination of others engaged, etc). Further engagements included brand and profile promotion, both nationally and internationally and representing the Fair to stakeholders, including its founder members, media and festival audiences, members of staff involved in the project. Furthermore, engaging with the local community and exploring opportunities for creative partnerships in the city, the county and further afield.
In Situ Art Fair is now a leading North Macedonian event, which showcases novelties and new talent in art, design, architecture and the creative industries by fusing the distinctive capacities of the local milieu with those of the global scene. By now, the Fair has hosted over 700 individual participants from 50 countries, with over 45 special projects with galleries, academies, and cultural operators from various cultural and artistic scenes. The most frequently represented countries at the Art Fair have been Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, Greece, Turkey, the USA and Russia.
